How do you quantify love? Can you weigh it, measure it, pin it down with equations? If the sum of all experiences is really just the interaction of a finite soup of chemicals copulating in nerve endings, how does this even dare articulate the infinite?

For all this we treat love as a countable infinity. We can love someone more and more; we can stop loving. But we can never guess how much all this is. Love has no units. Verily, the Psalter has it that 'if I look to the east, behold, thou art there... If I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.'

Perhaps love is like the theory of the ever-expanding universe, we are caught inside of the inside of an ever-inflating sphere, ever boundless.

Newton's third law of motion is well known. Anybody who has done high school physics knows that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. You push against a wall; it pushes back against you. I think there is great poetry hidden in these truths, the many laws we've discovered that underpin the universal fabric. We want union with something, even if the opposite seems true. Bring two atomic nuclei together and their positive electrostatic forces will repel each other, but, with the patience and strength of the blind god of the galaxies, there comes a point where a greater entity takes over and welds them together.

The Personification of Chaos

Can someone tell me who wrote this:?

I am

A metaphor of confusion,

A metonomy of my written work,

A synecdoche of my family,

An irony of my own genius,

A metalepsis of my actions,

A paradox with my intelligence,

An oxymoron of that same paradox,

An anthimeria as my title suggests,

A litote of God's creations,

I am the personification of chaos.

I know I got this from someone else's profile but I can't remember whose. Anyway, just sharing.

After cleaning up my room, I found some notes lying around, one is a text message from a friend way back 2008 (yes, I kind of write down text messages on paper). Guess who it was from:

“Fact is, we can’t live our lives without loving anyone. At some point we fall, but it’s really up to us to choose whether to truly love the person or not. People say love is a gamble, there’s always that risk of getting hurt. But wouldn’t you want to take that risk just to be with that person you love? Anyway, I chose not to love that person. I guess I’m all talk right now.”

Happy New Year everyone!

My first post for the year. Yey! I hope I could keep this up. I've been really busy to post anything lately.

2011 has been a good year, better than my 2010, that's for sure. At least I didn't lose any of my phone, or any of my stuff for that matter. I was able to fulfill some of my resolutions, at least as far as I can remember. So I'm making a list for the record.

Good things that happened to me in 2011:

1. Gain Weight - I'm now 100lbs! Yahooo! I gained almost 15lbs last year that I could honestly say is a MAJOR ACHIEVEMENT for me!
2. Learn a Sport - I learned TENNIS! - YEHESS! I learned a sport :D Though I was only active during the first quarter of the year. That's good enough for me. And no, I did not lose interest. I just became very busy. And I had other things going for me and that's...
3. Be Active - I'm now an official member of the PLDT MOCI (Mountaineering and Outdoor Club Inc.). Despite my frail physique, I could actually climb a mountain. And I've been to seven last year! Yes, seven mountains in one year. How's that for an achievement!

• Mt. Makiling - Traverse - Batangas / Laguna
• Mt. Gulugod-Baboy - Batangas
• Mt. Tapulao - Zambales
• Mt. Sembrano - Rizal
• Mt. Tarak - Tarak Ridge, Bataan
• Mt. Pulag - Ambaguio Trail - Nueva Vizcaya / Benguet
4. Travel Spontaneously - Have an unplanned vacation and do it! And I did. Went to Panagbenga Festival one weekend with only three days to prepare. Just cause one Wednesday we thought that going to Baguio would be fun! And it was. Quite an adventure actually, from the on-the-spot hotel booking (we had no reservations) to the run-after-the-cab-cause-we-might-miss-our-bus-home experience at Camp John Hay.
5. Travel Alone - Go to an unfamiliar place alone. And I did... well technically. I went to Sagada on my own to meet my friends. It's my first time so technically I did go to an unfamiliar place alone. I didn't say I will explore the place alone didn't I? Hah!
6. Travel Abroad - HONGKONG & MACAU baby! Though it wasn't exactly how I imagined my first time there would be, it was interesting and fun considering... let's just say there were moments
