Laser, Beans and Memory Loss

I originally planned to just see a movie to make use of the movie pass. My evening didn’t turn out as planned. It was a spontaneous decision for me to go to Greenhills to see my friends.

But before anything, I had to drop by The Block to satisfy my all-day craving for TSG’s Green Eggs and Ham Sandwich. And boy was I glad I dropped by. Sure I ran a bit late but that was some really good sandwich.

Three missed calls later, I got to Greenhills with the bustling crowd getting ready for the holidays. The holiday spirit sure is coming near. The mechanically simulated holiday show has already started to entertain families and inspire young minds until the first week of January next year.

CIBO

Cibo na lang, my friend texted me. I asked myself, "why Cibo?". It's the least satisfying casual dining place on earth. My first two or three (and only) experiences I had at Cibo weren't really at par with the other restos in its league. Or maybe because my mind was already set to think that way based on that horrible (or maybe just less than satisfying and ridiculously expensive)  first encounter. There at Cibo, my four friends sat starting their meal with some greens. I on the other hand had an order of Frullati di Frutti in Stagione al Latte and a helping of some white cheese pizza and pasta Bolognese . Yum. Ok so I had a change of heart. And the meal was FREE!

LASER TAG

It was past 8PM when we finished dinner so we had to find our way outside the closing mall. A few minutes later, we found it. Funny though when we went up, we thought it was closed too. I went inside the badminton place while my friends were peeking outside the fences. I don't know what they're looking for but they were were very persistent in finding something out of the darkness even after the front desk told us the laser tag is upstairs.

The place was filled with people. It was nice to think that we'll have people our age to compete against for a change remembering the last time we did it with a bunch of kids. But no. They were on their way out. We were on our own. Just the five of us. Two against three. We are so gonna lose this game. Or so I thought. After an exhausting fifteen minutes we won! We freaking won! And I got the highest score. Hahaha.

Free Iced Tea! YEAH!

CHRISTMAS BAZAAR

After the game, wala nang matambayan so we went to the Christmas Bazaar to find stuff and watch the show. At siyempre, FOOD TRIP. Pero ang loser lang because the only food trip we did was downing a few cups of scramble. Yey us! We decided to see a movie instead.

COFFEE BEAN

Di kami makadecide what to see. We ended up with My Amnesia Girl. After buying our tickets we went for some coffee to pass the time. There we saw Ogie Diaz and Marissa Sanchez. Wala lang, I just noticed. Oh and I regret that I ordered too early. Morrocan Mint was nice, don't get me wrong, but I would've had my money's worth if I ordered the Time Magazine instead with the free tea. I'm not a huge fan of posh drinks because they're ridiculously expensive. I can survive with pretty much with any cheap stuff.

Hmm.. maybe I should start a series on ridiculously expensive stuff.

MY AMNESIA GIRL

The movie. How do I describe it... FUNNY!!! Serysoso. Cathy Garcia Molina movies never fail to entertain me. They're just fun to watch. At benta yung mga pick up lines nila. I'll have them compiled on my next post.

If you want to be entertained, just go see the movie. You'll never regret it. Unless of course you're one of the Zafra's of the world who insist on having depth in everything. This is a shallow movie, which means it's a nice break from school or work. It's light, it's funny, it's romantic. It's romcom.

1AM

On my way home. May pasok pa bukas. Good night!
