AI8 Puerto Rico Auditions

Before I start a series of posts on the new American Idol Season, I'll just post this one. New York and San Juan, Puerto Rico is the last stop before Hollywood Week. Yipeee. I'm so excited. It was the first time for American Idol to cast auditions on a foreign country (or so I think) and that place is just oozing with talent starting with Jorge Nuñez who sang his first song "My Way" in his native language. That was the first time I actually appreciated that song after hearing it numerous times in videoke bars. His second song was "What a Wonderful World" and was just as good. He received four solid yes votes.

I hope he makes it to the finals. I already have my favorites but I still have to wait. My list includes Adam Lambert, Danny Gokey, Scott Macyntire, Megan Korcrey, Anoop Desai, Leneshe Young and so on. It's a long list reserved for the next post.

This episode made me like Simon even more. He's an ass, we already know that, it's a fact long since established, but he's an ass with a heart. He just helped someone they rejected (for a very good reason) get her job back.

Can't wait for Hollywood Week.

some off topic end note: people with the voice are kind of living on the other side, if you know what I mean. jorge nunez and adam lambert for example, they... well they have jazz hands. or is it just me?
